Career Day for HYGT.

Bring real professionals to your classroom and watch your students start asking different questions about their future. One day. Working adults. Honest conversation. No slides.

— What We Do —

We bring working professionals into your school to share their stories and answer the questions kids are actually curious about — not the rehearsed ones.

Your students will learn how these people got where they are today — the pivots, the wrong turns, the breaks. The goal? Help kids think bigger about what's possible.

  • IIStudents can ask anything and get real answers
  • IIIReal stories from real professionals — no scripts
  • IVLunch + small-group conversations included
👥
01 / Real Professionals

People who've actually done it.

Founders, designers, doctors, chefs, engineers — working professionals who share their actual career journey. Not motivational speakers.

💬
02 / Open Q&A

Ask anything.

No off-limit questions. Students get honest answers about pay, failure, college, and what it's really like to do the job.

🚀
03 / Think Bigger

See what's possible.

The goal isn't to push a path. It's to expand the list of paths kids know exist — before the world narrows that list for them.

How the day unfolds.

A rough sketch — every school is different and we adapt to what works. The heart of it is always lunch, conversation, and time.

🍽First hour
Lunch · 11:30

We provide lunch for you and your students. Mentors hang out with students during lunch — a chance to get to know each other in a relaxed setting before the formal program begins. This is where the magic usually happens.

👥Second hour
Small Groups · 13:00

Students rotate through small groups of 5–8 kids, meeting each professional for 10–15 minutes. Real questions. Real answers. Students leave with mentors' contact info for follow-up questions.

Inspiring the next generation.

Five years of this work. The mission has always been the same.

Hey You Got This is a social impact group I created almost five years ago. The mission has always been to inspire the youth.

I have an extensive group of friends who have done professionally what a lot of 5th graders are told they can't. So I put together a group of volunteers who, every year, help coach a team of 5th grade students for an annual shark tank competition.

We typically help out 10–12 teams per year with 5–6 students per team, and get over 20+ mentors to show up, speak, and stay. The kids learn how to build a pitch. The mentors remember why they started doing what they do.

Now, I'm looking to bring this type of inspiration into more rooms — hosting career days at local elementary schools to inspire the next generation of 5th graders about to graduate.

Through hands-on mentorship, real-world experience, and genuine connection, we help students see what's possible — and actually start to believe it themselves.

The programs.

Two active programs, one mission. Both built around bringing real professionals into rooms where kids usually only hear from teachers and parents.

01 / Annual Flagship

Shark Tank Competition

We coach 5th grade teams through an annual shark tank competition — teaching them entrepreneurship, pitch structure, and presentation skills. Teams build products, pitch to real judges, and learn to defend an idea.

02 / Ongoing Network

Professional Mentorship

Our network of 20+ professional mentors brings real-world experience and diverse career perspectives into classrooms. Mentors commit to being available for follow-up questions — the work doesn't end at the closing bell.
